In 2013, the partnership was discontinued due to the extreme remote location of Mapampi School. Eagle Crest Elementary had struggled to effectively communicate with the students and staff of Mapampi School. Therefore, through the Mwebaza Foundation, Eagle Crest Elementary has developed a new partnership with Empakasi School in Kenya. The Mwebaza Foundation has continued to monitor developments at Mapampi School so that in the future there may be a renewed partnership.
