Eagle Crest and Mwebaza Annex Primary School formed a partnership in 2017. Since then, the two schools have enjoyed learning about each other through cross-cultural exchange activities, art projects, and live video school events. The Eagle Crest community participates in activities that foster a global understanding and a deepened worldview while building friendships abroad.
Inspiring Leaders
Annex Club offers numerous leadership opportunities for students in 3rd - 5th grade by inviting them to participate in planning, organizing, and leading sister school activities and projects this year. Our focus is on cross-cultural exchange between the two schools, small fundraising events, art/cultural activities, and learning about current global issues and how they affect us in Colorado and our friends in Uganda.

Coming up with conversation topics, themes, and questions to exchange with our friends in Uganda during live video calls.
Creating presentations about our partnership to share with classes and at other events.
Participating in Ugandan cultural activities like music, cooking, and art.
Planning and making posters to advertise Mwebaza Day, Student Art Sale, Restaurant Nights, and Spirit Days.
Planning and/or presenting cross-cultural exchange projects.
Leading or participating in a fundraising event by collecting and counting money.
Learning about global issues affecting our communities.
Club Details
When? 7:45 - 8:30 a.m. on the 3rd Wednesday of each month (2nd Wednesday in March)*. Club members will be allowed in the front door at approximately 7:43 a.m. Club members that go to breakfast can leave the club early. Students in the 100-mile Club will miss one day of running a month if they are in both clubs.
First meeting? September 20th!
Where? 3rd/4th grade pod area.
Other considerations: Groups of students will occasionally meet for special projects during their lunchtime. Students will know about this ahead of time and will work and eat at the same time. We will email all club students a complete schedule of meetings.
