About our school partnership.

In 2022, Bennett Elementary and the Mwebaza Foundation formed a partnership.

Since then, students have participated in cross-cultural exchange activities with students in Uganda, including our annual Mwebaza Days celebration. Learn more in the photo gallery!

Join us for Mwebaza Day!

Mwebaza Days are integral to our mission of inspiring global citizenship.

“Mwebaza Day” refers to in-school cultural celebrations that we host with our partner schools in Colorado and Uganda! These special days invite each school community to connect with one of the Mwebaza partner schools on the other side of the Atlantic Ocean through a live video chat.

Mwebaza Day promotes cross-cultural understanding, global awareness, and meaningful connections by inviting students to share culturally relevant dances and songs and engage in a Q&A.
