Coronado Hills & Mwebaza Partnership
Coronado Hills and Parents’ Junior School in Uganda formed a partnership in 2014. Since then, the two schools have enjoyed learning about each other through cross-cultural exchange activities, art projects, and live video school events. The Coronado Hills community participates in activities and learning opportunities that foster a global understanding and a deepened worldview while building friendships abroad.
Coronado Hills y Parents’ Junior School en Uganda formaron una asociación en 2014. Desde entonces, las dos escuelas han disfrutado aprendiendo una de otra a través de actividades de intercambio intercultural, proyectos de arte y eventos escolares en video en vivo. La comunidad de Coronado Hills participa en actividades y oportunidades de aprendizaje que fomentan una comprensión global y una visión del mundo más profunda, mientras construyen amistades en el extranjero.
Coronado Hills Mwebaza Club
Purpose: A leadership opportunity for students in 1st through 5th grade who would like to participate in planning, organizing, and leading our partner school activities and projects this year. Our focus is on cross-cultural exchange between the two schools, learning about current global issues and how they affect us in Colorado and our friends in Uganda, and fundraising projects that support sustainability in our communities in Uganda.
Propósito: Una oportunidad de liderazgo para estudiantes de 1.º a 5.º grado que deseen participar en la planificación, organización y dirección de las actividades y proyectos de nuestras escuelas asociadas este año. Nuestro enfoque está en el intercambio intercultural entre las dos escuelas, en aprender sobre los problemas globales actuales y cómo nos afectan a nosotros en Colorado y a nuestros amigos en Uganda, y proyectos de recaudación de fondos que apoyen la sostenibilidad en nuestras comunidades de Uganda.

Mwebaza Days are integral to our mission of inspiring global citizenship.
“Mwebaza Day” refers to in-school, cultural celebrations that we host with our Colorado and Uganda partner schools! These special days invite each school community to connect with one of the Mwebaza partner schools on the other side of the Atlantic Ocean through a live video chat.
Mwebaza Day promotes cross-cultural understanding, global awareness, and meaningful connections by inviting students to share culturally relevant dances and songs and engage in a Q&A.
