Coyote Ridge & Mwebaza Partnership

Coyote Ridge and St. Paul Primary School formed a partnership in 2009. Since then, the two schools have enjoyed learning about each other through cross-cultural exchange activities, art projects, and live video school events. The Coyote Ridge community participates in activities and learning opportunities that foster a global understanding and a deepened worldview while building friendships abroad.

Coyote Ridge Mwebaza Club

This is a leadership opportunity for 1st through 5th grade students who would like to work with fellow students in planning, organizing, and participating in our partner school activities and projects this year.

Students participate in conversation, brainstorm ideas, and come up with questions to exchange with our friends in Uganda at the Mwebaza Day all-school event. They also cook Ugandan food, make Ugandan crafts, and learn about global issues related to Colorado and Uganda!

Join us for Mwebaza Day this Spring!

Mwebaza Days are integral to our mission of inspiring global citizenship.

“Mwebaza Day” refers to in-school cultural celebrations that we host with our partner schools in Colorado and Uganda! These special days invite each school community to connect with one of the Mwebaza partner schools on the other side of the Atlantic Ocean through a live video chat.

Mwebaza Day promotes cross-cultural understanding, global awareness, and meaningful connections by inviting students to share culturally relevant dances and songs and to engage in a Q&A.
